The event takes place in Norrahammar, Jönköping.

Welcome to the premiere screening of Leaving the Factory! A documentation of a lantern parade through the former industrial site in Norrahammar.

In the project Commoning the Heritage: Norrahammar, team TEJA explored the industrial environment in Norrahammar through architectural analysis, artistic methods and site-based investigations. Leaving the Factory documents a lantern parade that took place at the former industrial site together with local organisations and residents. Through light, movement and collective action, the film explores the spaces, stories and future possibilities of the site.

During Smålandstriennalen, TEJA invites visitors to a vernissage at Tabergsådalens kulturhus ↗ in Norrahammar. The programme includes the premiere screening of the film and a panel discussion on how artistic processes can contribute to urban development.

About ArkDes' practise-based research

In addition to being a museum on Skeppsholmen, ArkDes explores real-world challenges through practice-based research. Architects and designers are invited to develop solutions using the tools of design. These projects are carried out in collaboration with policymakers, businesses, municipalities, regions, academia, and the public—shaping both small communities and large cities across Sweden.
