Welcome to ArkDes on September 27th
Café Blom is open as usual

ArkDes is currently closed for refurbishment.

Currently, ArkDes is closed due to refurbishments, during which we are developing an extensive collection exhibition and new school programmes, among many other things.

ArkDes invites your school class to experience and discuss the creative world of architecture and design from 1st October 2024. Here, you can encounter one hundred and fifty years of creative power, explore the challenges of architecture today, and participate in planning the cities of the future. ArkDes’ school programs delve into the creative process of architecture and design both by showcasing and by creating together.

If you have any questions or would like to subscribe to our newsletter, please don’t hesitate to contact us at visningar@arkdes.se.

Visit ArkDes on your own with your group:

You don’t need to pre-book your visit, but please approach our staff when you arrive, and they will assist you and provide a brief introduction to the museum.

Lockers for outerwear and larger bags, as well as an unmanned cloakroom, are available adjacent to ArkDes and Moderna Museet’s foyer. Additional lockers are located on the 2nd floor near the lakeside entrance, where designated seating for those who have brought their own lunch is also available. During warm weather, there is a wonderful outdoor space on Skeppsholmen to enjoy.

Booked groups and guided tours have priority access to the exhibitions.

Here you can find more information about how to get to ArkDes, accessibility, and Café Blom.
