Can design make a politician win elections? And where is the line between political communication and propaganda?
Design tools and processes are part of the craft of democracy. At this evening’s Design Bar, we explore how design and visual communication influence politics, from campaign posters and logos to the visual portrayal of party leaders, and whether there are ethical considerations designers need to address when working on political commissions.
Through a panel discussion and a workshop, we will delve deeper into design as a political and democratic tool, and the role it may play in upcoming elections.
This evening’s Design Bar is a collaboration between ArkDes and Svenska Tecknare ↗.
