Join a workshop with the winners of the ‘Årets strålkastare 2024’ Award, delve into their practices, and contribute to creating better conditions for sustainable, equitable, and beautiful living environments!

The ‘Årets strålkastare’ Award highlights actors whose work exemplifies the goals of Sweden’s national policy for architecture, form, and design, and who contribute to spreading knowledge, good ideas, and initiatives, as well as creating engagement around these issues. This year, the award goes to BY2030 from Region Kronoberg, Hållbara hus i Västra Götaland, and Avtryck för Framtid. Learn more about the winners at hallbarstad.se ↗.

During the afternoon, you will be introduced to the work of the three ‘Strålkastare’ and have the opportunity to delve deeper into one of their practices through a workshop.

Workshops:

BY2030: New perspectives are needed as Älghult in northeastern Kronoberg faces the future! Join the village architect in this workshop where we all contribute our perspectives on a community with development potential. We’ll conclude by summarizing the experiences so that more than just Sweden’s first village architect can be part of creating strategies and opportunities for Älghult’s development.

Avtryck för Framtid: Participate in a discussion about the initiative that highlights the role of art in sparsely populated areas during the climate crisis. What perspectives and collaborations have shaped the initiative in a roadless land? Ask your questions so that we can all contribute to making conscious impressions for the future. The conversation will be led by Hanna Gelotte Fernandez from the National Heritage Board.

Hållbara hus i Västra Götaland: Your perspective is needed! Together, we’ll create a picture of what the industry can do to further integrate craft perspectives in the work towards sustainable, inclusive, and well-designed living environments.
