Workshop: Weave a Basket for Giants

Weave a gigantic basket for the ancient trolls.
At ArkDes’ backyard Utsikten, children and their adults have built and created a secret garden for people, animals, and other beings throughout the summer. In this summer’s final grand workshop, we’ll use the ancient craft technique of weaving, along with recycled and natural materials, to create a large-scale basket for the trolls that sleep in the mountain below.
This workshop is led by the creators of Utsikten, the designgroup MYCKET.
The activity is free of charge, requires no prior experience, and every age group is welcome.
Create and Play at Utsikten All Summer
Utsikten is a secret garden where creatures of all kinds and sizes can play, thrive, and grow. Here, we create treasures from scrap, natural materials, and imagination. Throughout the summer, ArkDes offers three major workshops in collaboration with the design group MYCKET (the creators of Utsikten) and clay expert Johannes Riesterer.
During the school holidays, we also provide open workshops with ArkDes staff. You can of curse play on Utsikten all day every day. Learn more about Utsikten here.
