Workshop: Build a Bee Water Station

Photo: Sima Korenivski. 2024. Utsikten – a place for co-creation and play.

Help us make Utsikten an even better place for the island’s tiniest inhabitants.

Utsikten is a construction and play area for children and their adults but also a haven for animals and other beings. Using stones, clay, sand, and water, we will create a bathing and drinking environment for Skeppsholmen’s insects and small birds during this summer’s first workshop. This workshop is led by the creators of Utsikten, the designgroup MYCKET.

‌The day kicks off with an opening ceremony at 13:00, after which everyone is welcome to participate in the workshop and play at Utsikten. ArkDes will provide ice cream as long as supplies last.

‌The activity is free of charge, requires no prior experience, and every age group is welcome.

Create and Play at Utsikten All Summer

Utsikten is a secret garden where creatures of all kinds and sizes can play, thrive, and grow. Here, we create treasures from scrap, natural materials, and imagination. Throughout the summer, ArkDes offers three major workshops in collaboration with the design group MYCKET (the creators of Utsikten) and clay expert Johannes Riesterer.

During the school holidays, we also provide open workshops with ArkDes staff. You can of curse play on Utsikten all day every day. Learn more about Utsikten here.
