The first and last things we see are often the things we notice the least. But what happens when we start paying attention to them? Taking the installation Byggfenomen: The First and Last Thing We See as a starting point, this conversation explores the qualities of architecture that are difficult to measure but shape how we experience the world around us.
Join architect Daniel Johansson and art historian Anna Jansson for a conversation inspired by the installation Byggfenomen: The First and Last Thing We See. Together, they will discuss how architecture can hold both practical and mysterious qualities, and explore the connection between everyday acoustic ceiling tiles and the iconostasis — a screen in churches that separates the earthly from the divine.
The conversation is moderated by ArkDes curator Daniel Golling.
