Torget Take-over: Anna Whitlocks Gymnasium + Street Moves
Redesigned streets and new prototypes for sustainable and healthy cities take over Torget as a selection of work by 300 students from Anna Whitlock’s Upper Secondary School is showcased for a week.
We warmly welcome you to the opening of Torget Take-over: Anna Whitlocks Gymnasium + Street Moves. Here you can see highlights of the students’ design processes carried out on six streets in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, during the autumn term of 2024. The students’ work is inspired by ArkDes’ practice-based research project, Street Moves, funded by Vinnova. The goal of the project—and the students—is to create prototypes for streets that are sustainable, healthy, and vibrant. This initiative is part of ArkDes’ ongoing efforts to bring Sweden’s architecture and design policy, Policy for Designed Living Environments, into schools.
