New Open Call: VERKET

ArkDes and Ulricehamn Municipality are seeking a team with design expertise to explore how Ulricehamn’s waterworks and the surrounding area can be transformed to meet future needs. Through the call for proposals titled VERKET, we aim to investigate how seemingly outdated industrial architecture can be revitalized with innovative design and management.

The call is aimed at creative, interdisciplinary teams of designers, architects, and other professionals who can contribute to the management and development of industrial environments that have lost their original function. These environments, often closed to the public, can be integrated into the public space and become well-designed living environments after decommissioning.

The application is closed. The selected team will be announced in the fall of 2024.
