ArkDes opening date rescheduled

ArkDes has been working since last September to complete the extensive renovation of its facilities on Skeppsholmen. With a new main entrance and carefully designed exhibition spaces, the museum is focusing on enhancing the visitor experience. At the heart of the museum, a new exhibition showcasing ArkDes’ unique collection will be presented.

The reopening of ArkDes was originally scheduled for the beginning of summer. The new opening date is September 27. The delay is attributed to challenges in installing the climate control system required for the display of ArkDes’ collection items. However, the outdoor installation at Utsikten by the art, architecture, and design group MYCKET will open on June 15. Here, a space for co-creation and outdoor play will be formed with the public during several occasions over the summer.
