Gingerbread House 2017 is a fragrant exhibition of imaginative gingerbread houses. It is also a competition in which children, young people, adults, amateurs and professionals build and create side by side.
This year’s theme: Boundless
We have encouraged all bakers to challenge themselves and their gingerbread dough to reinterpret what a gingerbread house can be. The bakers, as always, have enjoyed complete freedom as to how they interpret the theme. This year, they have been advised to push the limits even further – to challenge themselves, convention and the material itself.
Members of this year's jury:
Rahel Belatchew, Architect
Frida Leijon, Swedish Confectioner or the year 2016
Pablo Londono, Designer
Walter Sundling, Sweden’s youngest Masterchef 2017
Björn Wallsten, instigator of the year’s theme: Boundless
