Unboxing: The Grave Beneath the Sea

Floating light buoys and a burial mound at the bottom of the sea formed the core of architect Rickard Rotstein s winning proposal for a grave, to commemorate those lost in the M/S Estonia disaster. The never-realized project was intended to honor the over 800 people who tragically lost their lives in the 1994 disaster.

In this Unboxing, we take a closer look at the original drawings for the project together with Rotstein himself, and in dialogue with the museum´s curators.
