Opening: Worldglimpsing!

Welcome to the opening of Worldglimpsing, where every conceivable world is possible!

The exhibition Worldglimpsing: Roleplay and the Design of Alternate Worlds explores how we live and shape our identities through roleplay, gaming, and experimental art. Here, design is not only objects and solutions but a creative way to investigate social change, political structures, and possible futures. During the opening, you will be able to take part in short facilitated experiences of the roleplay OUR BR00D by OMSK Social Club ↗, a full-scale Real Game Play (RGP) created exclusively for Worldglimpsing.

On Friday, 3 October at 18:00, the exhibition opens, and you’re invited! Feel free to bring a friend!

The opening ceremony starts at 18:15

• Welcome speech by Acting Director Karin Nilsson, followed by an introduction by the exhibition’s curator, James Taylor-Foster, and representatives of OMSK Social Club ↗
• The evening is hosted by Stockholm’s greatest drag queen, Ruccola Hängbjörk ↗
• Music by DJ Queen E ↗

Worldglimpsing is a collaboration between ArkDes and Nieuwe Instituut ↗. The first chapter opens in Stockholm on October 3, 2025, and the second chapter opens in Rotterdam in 2026.
