Themed Tour: Architecture by the Water

Public bath in Riddarfjärden. 2020. Architect: AndrénFogelström.

How can water inspire the design process? And how does it become part of the architectural experience?

Water can make a place playful, add symbolic meaning or serve an important function, from bathing to transportation. How is architecture shaped by embracing water or taking it as a starting point, whether in the harbour, along the shoreline or beside a swimming pool?

Join us for a guided tour of ArkDes Collection, exploring water as an architectural element. The exhibition features architecture that uses the water surface as a floor, a project located on the seabed, and buildings designed to be experienced from the water.
