Book Launch: The Home of Modernity

Through magnificent palaces, synagogues and office building, Jewish clients and architects influenced urban development in 19th and 20th century Europe.

Based on Fredric Bedoir´s newly published book The Home of Modernity – 19th Century Norrmalm ↗, ArkDes invites you to a conversation about how Jewish initiatives contributed to modern, urban development in Sweden.

ArkDes collection features works by several architects and designers with a Jewish identity who often have played an invisible role in architectural history. After the conversation, we will be Unboxing works by Judith Turner, Stig von Huth and others.
