Conference 2021: Designed Living Environment and Democracy
In 2021, democracy in Sweden celebrates its 100th anniversary.
At the conference, we explore various aspects of democracy through themes such as citizen participation, the development of community life, the evolution of our public environments, who influences what is built, altered, and demolished, as well as what we preserve.

About the conference
Since 2020, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning ↗, the Swedish National Heritage Board ↗, ArkDes and Public Art Agency Sweden ↗ annually arrange a conference about Designed Living Environment. The conference is aimed at those working at municipal, regional, and national levels, within academia or as private practitioners.
