Welcome to the conference Living City 2025 – Design for Attractive Living Environments!
The risks of today and the future require us to prepare our cities in new ways; we must be efficient and thoughtful – at the same time. At this year’s conference at ArkDes, organized on behalf of the Council for Living Cities in collaboration with Formas, we will explore current research and inspiring examples that combine robustness, innovation, and excellent design.
On Tuesday, October 14, property owners, construction professionals, municipalities, government agencies, researchers, and practitioners will meet to hear inspiring examples and discuss how to create attractive living environments and manage existing values with a focus on robust, safe, and well-designed.
The in-person event (300 spots) will take place at ArkDes on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. You can always follow the day live digitally. Both in-person and digital participation require pre-registration through a ticket.

When: October 14, 2025, from 10:00 to 16:30. Registration for the in-person event starts at 9:30.
