Applications are now open for this year’s grant from the Einar Mattsson Foundation for Building and Real Estate Research. The foundation, managed by ArkDes, was established through a donation in connection with the opening of the museum’s new exhibition hall in 1998.

The grant supports research in building and housing, with a focus on construction technology and property management. It is open to individual and collaborating researchers and practitioners in architecture, building design, or related fields that combine academic depth with practical application.

This year’s three priority themes are:

  • Circular management of existing buildings
  • Adaptability for long-term use
  • Efficient use of energy and media in property management

The total grant amount is 500,000 SEK and may be divided among several recipients.
