Young Swedish Design 2016
Discover the most intriguing new designs from Sweden’s young creatives. The exhibition Young Swedish Design displays unique pieces from a range of disciplines: from product design to crafts.
Young Swedish design (Ung Svensk Form) is a design award presented by a jury and handed out by the Svensk Form association every year. 20 of 400 received contributions have been selected to the Young Swedish design exhibition.
The aim of Young Swedish design 2016 is to increase and expand knowledge of young and innovative Swedish design. Svensk Form is in charge of the project and aims to promote the development of Swedish design – the keywords are free creation and exploration, with no demands on adaptation to market. Ung Svensk Form shall fulfil an important function as a meeting place between designers, producers and the general public.
The exhibition is the result of an award with the same name. Young Swedish Design 2016 is a co-production by ArkDes and Svensk Form (The Swedish Society of Crafts and Design), with support from IKEA and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.
