A TrollTivoli has taken shape at Utsikten<\/em> – an amusement park for trolls and all their friends. The flying swings, the prize wheel and the carousel spin and creak – all built from old elm trees, bicycle wheels, scrap and imagination.<\/p>\n

But the TrollTivoli is far from finished. Perhaps a catapult for the pixies is still needed? Or a rollercoaster for the gnomes? This summer, children and their adults are invited to help expand the trolls’ world. About Utsikten<\/h2>\n \n

Utsikten<\/em> is ArkDes\u2019 outdoor space where children can build, test, play and develop ideas at full scale. The initiative is part of ArkDes\u2019 long-term work to support the creativity of children and young people through co-creation in architecture and design.<\/p>\n

In 2024, the art, architecture and design collective MYCKET was commissioned to design Utsikten<\/em> together with a group of children from Filosofiska, a school in Skarpn\u00e4ck. The result was a magical space: a giant troll\u2019s ear filled with greenery, water and life \u2013 for mythological creatures, animals and children alike.<\/p>\n

For summer 2025, MYCKET has returned to continue the story of the trolls \u2013 this time with Year 1 pupils from Bergsundsskolan in Stockholm. Together, they have designed an amusement park for tiny and big beings of fantasy: a TrollTivoli that will continue to grow throughout the summer with the help of ArkDes visitors.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

MYCKET \u2197<\/a> was founded in 2012 by artists, designers and architects Mariana Alves Silva, Dr. Katarina Bonnevier and Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Kristiansson. The group work with equality, social sustainability, and the more-than-human within art, design, architecture, and public spaces.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
