She built the house for herself. Unfortunately, it became a masterpiece.<\/p>\n

Eileen Gray\u2019s white villa by the sparkling Mediterranean was a tribute to love\u2014a love that fell apart shortly after the house was completed. When star architect Le Corbusier visited the villa, he became obsessed with its perfect form and, against Gray\u2019s wishes, painted large frescoes on its walls. E.1027 is a magnificent hybrid film combining theater, archival footage, and newly shot scenes from the house on the French Riviera. A story of a woman\u2019s artistic power and a man\u2019s attempt to dominate it.<\/p>\n
