Welcome to the inauguration of Torget, ArkDes’ new meeting place for discussions and dialogues about the role of architecture and design in addressing tomorrow’s challenges!<\/p>\n

We begin with an exciting conversation about the project Power of Places, which is also currently being showcased as an installation at ArkDes. Hear about how old industrial and port districts in Nyhamnen, Malmö, are being opened to the public, how a car ramp becomes an amphitheater, a fence becomes pergolas to rest under, and how a green forest will soon spread over the asphalt. After the discussion, you can try weaving together with the craft group MalmöVÄV ↗<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Power of Places is a collaboration between ArkDes and the City of Malmö, supported by the Malmö Beautification and Planting Association and is part of ArkDes’ practice-based research. The aim of the research is to increase knowledge of how architecture and design can contribute to creating sustainable communities.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
