Entrance and facilities

ArkDes and Moderna Museet are located in the same building. The main entrance to ArkDes is located via Exercisplan. You can also access ArkDes through entrances located adjacent to Moderna Museet.

ArkDes is built on one level, and it is easy to navigate within our premises. There are no hindering thresholds in the museum, and all doors open automatically. An exception is the door leading to Café Blom and the door to Café Blom’s outdoor seating area, but there is always staff available to assist. A ramp is available at Café Blom’s outdoor seating area.

Parking

There are accessible parking spots available at Exercisplan outside ArkDes and Moderna Museet’s main entrances, as well as in front of the entrance to Moderna Museet from the seaside.

Elevators

An elevator is located between ArkDes and Moderna Museet’s foyer at Exercisplan 4 and the entrance on the seaside (back of the building).

Storage facilities

Lockers for outerwear and larger bags, as well as an unmanned cloakroom, are available adjacent to ArkDes and Moderna Museet’s foyer.

Restrooms

Accessible restroom with a changing table is located inside the auditorium foyer and in Café Blom. The doors are 90 cm wide. Accessible restrooms are also available at Moderna Museet.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available for loan at the reception located in ArkDes and Moderna Museet’s foyer. Please contact our hosts for assistance. The museum is on one level without thresholds and is designed for easy wheelchair access. Folding stools are available for loan in the exhibition halls.

Hearing loop

Hearing loops is available in the Auditorium, Cinema, and Aula ArkDes.
