Gingerbread House 2013

27 November 2013 - 5 January 2014

The ArkDes gingerbread house exhibition is a cherished tradition in which exciting, contemporary themes have generated a lot of interest among our visitors.

With this year’s theme of Future Designs, we want to join together to encourage all bakers – both young and old – to give free rein to their creativity about the future and its designs. Create your smart ideas about what tomorrow’s homes, buildings and spaces might look like in gingerbread dough. How can we build in a climate- and environment-smart way to save the earth’s disappearing resources? How can your home be more environment-friendly?

Design a space, a house, a gadget – just give us your best design for the future. Bake away and bring it to us!

A unique feature this year is the special prize K-Gingerbread – a national online competition for all children in partnership with the children’s and young people’s magazine Kamratposten – for all children who are unable to submit a physical contribution to Stockholm.
The K-Gingerbread houses will be displayed digitally in the exhibition and contribute to even more ingenious ideas for the future.
