Architecture and city planning involve much more than design, material form and visual qualities. Researchers at ArkDes explore the interaction between history, the constructed environment and how people make use of this in daily life.
The research carried out at ArkDes is based on the collections and has a contemporary perspective. Researchers at ArkDes have a unique opportunity to communicate with general public who are interested in the field and to contribute to exhibitions, educational programmes and public debate in the form of new perspectives and situation analyses.
At ArkDes, researcher have the opportunity to elevate comprehensive and social issues to a new level – space, places and exhibitions allow for relevant questions, more in-depth knowledge and spatial experimentation for research.
