Safer than ever? Conference on security and urban planning

Can architecture and design help make cities safer and more secure? ArkDes, Boverket (the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning), BRÅ (The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention) and Förvarshögskolan (the Swedish Defense University) together invite you to a conference on security in urban planning.

Practical and theoretical case studies will be presented to illustrate how security issues can be addressed in the design of public environments. Sweden is one of the safest countries in the world, why then is insecurity such an important issue today? Welcome to a conference on the role of urban planning, architecture and design in creating safe and secure cities.

Learn about Swedish and international projects, current issues, methods and challenges.
The conference will be held in the ArkDes auditorium.
