Tensta Museum: Walk on the Järva Field with Mats adelman and Ylva Westerlund
Twice this summer, Ylva Westerlund and Mats adelman will lead guided walks in the nature area of the Järva Field where they will describe the biotope. The birds and other animals residing in the area will be mapped out for the participants to have an overview of.
The Järva Field is home to various species such as ravens, the green woodpecker, the northern goshawk, the common buzzard, the tawny owl, skylarks, stock doves, hares, foxes, and deers. The eurasian lynx, beavers, pine martens, white-tailed eagles, and rough-legged buzzards can at times be sighted as well.
The walk will take place in Granholmstoppen, Igelbäcken and in the area surrounding Eggeby farm. At Eggeby farm, Ylva Westerlund’s public art work Dream wasteland / En studieplats i skogskanten will be visited. The project was originally commissioned by Stockholm konst and Tensta konsthall in 2017, as a continuation of the exhibition The New Hird at Tensta konsthall.
The duration of the walk is 2–3 hours, please wear sturdy shoes.
Meeting place: Tensta konsthall. Free admission.
