Reality machines: Irma Boom

Irma Boom is one of the world’s foremost graphic designers, who has received many awards, made hundreds of books, 100 of which are in MoMA’s permanent collection in New York.

Hall of Femmes is the project of Samira Bouabana and Angela Tillman Sperandio. The project was founded in 2009 and is intended to call attention to women working in art direction and design. It involves lectures, exhibitions, interviews and publication of the Hall of Femmes series of books, where her work and that of various iconic designers is portrayed through in-depth interviews.
