Design S 2014

27 November 2014 - 8 February 2015

Design S is Sweden’s national design award and is presented every other year by the Svensk Form (Swedish Society of Crafts and Design). The Design S exhibition aims to provide a view of contemporary Swedish design and highlight the role of design in society.

The award is open to all disciplines of design and is aimed at professional designers, architects, producers and companies that work with design in a broad sense. The Design S exhibition aims to showcase contemporary Swedish design and highlight the role of design in society. The award rewards creative and innovative solutions and focuses on function, aesthetics, communication and sustainability.

The exhibition features everything from high-heeled shoes in birch bark, graphical toothpick boxes, an ultra-light bicycle and a building that houses an insect factory.

The winning contributions this year were selected by a high-profile Swedish and international jury consisting of, among others, Li Edelkoort, Giulio Cappellini, Alice Rawsthorn, Hedvig Hedqvist and Malin Zimm.

The winner in the graphic design category was Fellow Designers for the identity they created for the exhibition Cykel

The catalogue was designed by Lisa Olausson and Matilda Plöjel.
